RS (Norway Royal Salmon) Dåfjord’s first RAS facility, located an hour’s drive northwest of Tromsø, is one of the world’s largest facilities of its kind. For us, this is one of the largest facilities we have been involved in and we are very proud to be chosen as a supplier. Our customer is ScaleAQ, which in turn has NRS as its customer. We started the project in the winter of 20. The first part of the facility, the hatchery, was put into operation in December of the same year. Completion is Q2 21.
Our delivery includes temperature treatment in the hatchery, starter lining, growth 1 and 2 as well as post smolt A and B. A total of 700l/s of water is circulated in our system and we ensure that the water is kept warm using recycling and heating which together provide 6000kW. For cooling, the power is 3500kW.
We have taken care of all planning and all deliveries related to the temperature treatment of process water.
